Located in Toronto’s Leaside neighbourhood, this multi-tower development is one of several intensification projects along a new underground transit line. The project team’s early focus on design and production of evocative visualizations resulted in early buy-in from the client and welcome (albeit rare) support from the community.

The site is over 14,000sm and contains a mix of retail, office, and residential uses, as well as underground parking and a public park. Early sighting and feasibility studies resulted in a simplified massing scheme that stands in relief against typical stepped towers to the east and west of the development. A focus on the design of the ground plane and architecture at-grade drew from the materials and forms of the neighbourhood’s industrial history. With a continued focus on evocative visualizations and an ongoing Site Plan Approval Application, the project will be entering into Design Development later in 2023.
